12 years of successful genealogical practice1

Ukrainian Genealogist

I help people reconstruct family history in Ukraine and across the post-Soviet region using archival and civil-registration records.

Over

12 years

Evidence-based work, careful conclusions, respectful communication.

I rely on documents rather than guesses, and I document the research logic: where the evidence comes from, how it connects, what remains uncertain, and what can be verified next.

About Us

Genealogical research in Ukraine and the post-Soviet region

I am from Ukraine, trained as a historian, and I have been working in genealogy professionally for more than twelve years.

My research is based on civil records, church registers, pre-revolutionary sources, military documentation, and Soviet-era materials. The deliverable is a clear written report with document copies and full source references, so your family history remains verifiable and easy to use.

Why clients choose to work with me

A clear research plan

You understand which sources will be checked, in what order, and what each step is expected to deliver.

Documents first, careful conclusions

Family links are built from records; if something is uncertain, I state it openly and propose a way to verify it.

A deliverable you can keep using

You receive a structured report, document copies, and a kinship outline that you can build on later.

Confidentiality and respect

Family histories can be sensitive, so all information and materials are handled discreetly and shared only with you.

How I can help

These are the most common entry points that usually lead to strong, document-supported results.

Church & pre-revolutionary sources

I use parish registers, revision lists, and other historical records to extend lines further back.

Soviet-era research

I trace families through institutional and workplace records and connect scattered facts into a coherent narrative.

Military records

I help reconstruct service, awards, losses, movements, and the related archival trail.

Civil records & certificates

I work with birth, marriage, and death entries and extract the details that help move the research forward.

Archival research

I locate primary records for specific people and places and verify matches across names, dates, and family context.

Family branches

I rebuild collateral lines and, when appropriate, help locate living relatives within legal and ethical boundaries.
